How far along:
Starting my 29th week!
Size of baby:
Baby is 2 1/2 pounds.
Like a Butternut squash

Last Wednesday I had the Glucose Test! Yippee!!
The Drink...
Everyone said to get the orange flavor because it tastes the best. I didn't get a choice so I had to drink fruit punch.

Getting ready for the first sip
Surprisingly, it was really good. Not that I would want to drink it all the time but I made it through.

Halfway there....I don't drink fast so trying to get this down in 5 minutes...on an empty stomach, ugh.

I thought I would get my results after Christmas but they called me the next day and said I PASSED!!!!!
Little one and I LOVE sweets so I knew we could handle it.
However, I did find out that I am low on iron (anemic) so we are taking a supplement for that. Any words of wisdom you have about this, please pass it my way.
Total Weight Gain/Loss:
10 lbs.
I gained one pound since my last appointment. Whoo Hoo!
But I am sure it will change in the next few months.

Christmas 2010

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did!!

The family tree

Kendalyn's tree

We spent all weekend with family and have a few snapshots of our time with them. On Friday we headed to the PPR to see my Cowboy's family.

Sitting is Cowboy's Uncle Mike, Aunt Becky, Cowboy's dad and Grandfather

Top row...Aunt Becky, PawPaw, Cowboy, Grandpa and Nephew Allen
Sitting...Uncle Mike and Cousin Taylor

On Saturday, Christmas, we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Katy.

Me and G-Lo (HA!)

This is my little brother Cole and his gf, Katie. Aren't they cute??!!

My dad in deep conversation

Mom and her martini

My grandma...snug as a bug in a rug. She said she felt at home by the warm fire in the house and being with family.

Aunt Lo and Uncle B...Love them!!

This was my post for the day. Chillin' on the stool in the kitchen. : )

Not the best pic of a Christmas belly bump but it's either this or my eyes closed, HA!!

I know I am in big trouble by posting this picture but it is just such a precious moment that I will treasure F.O.R.E.V.E.R. I think I will even frame it and put it in K's room.

Me and my Uncle Larry

Thank you Uncle Larry for indulging
me with this memorable picture. I love it!!!
Please don't be too mad at me ; )
On Sunday Cowboy smoked a turkey and my mom's family came for a visit.
Sisters

Yummy food and joys of family

I didn't even notice until now that the pictures are of wonderful times with family. Of course, we enjoyed gift giving but these pictures remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. A precious little angel, Kendalyn, received many gifts even before her arrival. She is so blessed and loved by her family.

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year

"Un" Lucky Number 7??!!

Oh Miss Kendalyn the story of the making of your room is an eventful one. When we bought our home three years ago our front bedroom was fit perfectly for a little girl. However, the room was Bubblegum Pink.

This image is a great picture of a pink room. The one we had...was not. So daddy painted it twice, a bright white to get rid of the pink. 1,2

On Saturday, my parents came over to help paint Kendalyn's room. Twice. 3,4
We were not sold on what the room looked like. Therefore, I couldn't bare to take pictures. At 3am on Sunday morning My Cowboy and I came up with a GREAT idea to complete the painting of her room. So we woke up and painted her room again. 5

And now we have something like this on the walls
We don't know if this is caused by mixing paints (HA!!) or the cold. However, I called in a dear friend, "The Reinforcements"!!! And hope that sanding and using Kilz on her room, 6, and repainting her room a 7th time will turn in to be lucky. And of course the best little girl's room Ever!!

**I've updated our blog with all of the other fun things we have been up too. Stick around and leave a comment or two. They always make me smile : )

Christmas Cheer

Last weekend My Cowboy had their company Christmas party at Pappadeux. We had a great time and ate way too much.

Cowboy again was taking lots of pictures. So there are just two pictures of the two of us.
When we took this picture everyone said, "Awwww". Lovely. Didn't know everyone captured this moment with us, HA!!

Enjoy the delight in
food, family, and friends
this holiday season.

Where is the time going??

Oh my! I can't believe that it has been a week since my last post. We have been busy with Christmas things and getting ready for Kendalyn.

Here are some snapshots of what's been happening......

We're 27 weeks!!!
Entered into the Third Trimester
and
7 months Pregnant!!!

Cowboy had a Christmas party last Saturday. (Post to come) I told everyone I was 5 1/2 months pregnant. When I checked my email the next morning and saw one titled "You're 7 months pregnant" Cowboy and I both almost passed out. Um, hello, I lost a month somewhere...don't know why. We are racing to get ready for her. Well, not really but more focused now.

Which leads to K's room....a Work In Progress. Wonderful Progress. We are so excited to show you....soon : )

I also missed FarmChick's Holly Jolly Receipe Swap last Friday. I have these amazing Melt Away cookies I want to share. I hope to post about those this Friday.

Winter Break starts next week. I'll be registering for baby things, visiting with friends, reading up on baby books, and catching up in blogland. There's so much to do and so little time.
