Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

We've had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Now we can't wait to prepare for Christmas!!!

Here are the highlights...

For Thanksgiving we spent the day with my family in Katy at my Aunt's house. We had a great time visiting with everyone and eating.

Grandma and I were caught talking about Kendalyn and the pregnancy. She is so excited for her newest grandbaby. She says she is looking forward to it and so are we.

Me and my Grandma

Me, Grandma and My Cowboy

On Thursday night we were invited to our neighbor's for some cake and coffee. They are huge tu fans so it was fun as we anticipated the Aggie/tu game for later that night. We rushed home to watch it on TV and enjoyed every minute of the Aggies BTHO tu. WHOOP!!

On Friday we hit our one and only Black Friday sale to buy Kendalyn's furniture!!! I was so excited to be able to take the furniture home that day. One store had us waiting 6-8 weeks for delivery.

My wish to have her room ready for Christmas is getting closer.

Cowboy received some help from our neighbor. They are so kind.

Mommy brought in the first piece of her furniture into her room. I had to snap a shot of this moment.

On Saturday we had free tickets to ....

We met Cowboy's family there. It was fun and glad we had free tickets. I couldn't imagine spending $23 per person.

These are a few shots I found online

We left at dusk (6pm) and spent 2 1/2 HOURS in line to leave. Traffic was horrible to leave the place. I was so glad to get home 3 hours later, ugh.

We wrapped up the weekend with getting the house ready for Christmas. I'll share pictures soon : )
Hope everyone had a great turkey weekend!!

Mumbling on a Monday

On Thursday night we left for Crockett and another weekend of deer hunting. We saw very few deer and what we did see was always behind bush. So we came home empty handed. Saturday was the annual Christmas in Crockett. My Cowboy hunted alone that morning so that I could go and shop. All of the shops on the square were open and they had over 200 vendors up and down the streets. I bought a few things but I found many things that I think I can make for Kendalyn.

On Saturday we headed home so that I could watch my Aggies on TV. Oh how I wish I could have been there. What a game. Gig 'Em Aggies!!! WHOOP!!

Sunday afternoon we headed to The Woodlands for a photo session with one of Cowboy's friends. Here's a peek at what he did. I can't wait for the rest.
I know this is so silly but for this pregnant momma please say a prayer for our furry baby Remington. He got stung by a bee (s) on Sunday. I know he will be fine and we are taking good care of him but I just worry. Thanks so much.

Girls Weekend/Boys Weekend

This past weekend My Cowboy and I had a different kind of fun-filled weekend. He went to Crockett with his dad and uncle to hunt for deer. I'll spare you the pictures and just let you know that he killed 2 doe. We're up to our eyeballs in deer meat. : )

As for me....

My mom came in to test out my new sewing machine. Oh did we have fun!

We had lunch at the Whistle Stop Tea Room in town.

Here's mom trying out the sewing machine. My dining room has been turned in to my sewing cave, ha!

We made 3 burpcloths.

Black and white.

Christmas time

Hot pink/Black

During the F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. Texas A&M game I made 2 bows for Miss Kendalyn
I only made 2 bows since it was a very "edge of your seat" kind of game, HA!
I can't wait to make more.

On Sunday I continued my girly weekend to Market Street in The Woodlands for lunch (a bit of shopping at Baby Gap) and a movie with the ladies for Terrie's birthday.

This movie was so cute but an emotional roller coaster ride for a pregnant woman.

Although our weekend was a blast we still love our weekends together.

Baby Got Buck!!

Opening Day of
Deer Season 2010
started with a BANG!!!
(literally)
My Cowboy and I were sitting in our stand by 6 am. By 7 we were frustrated because we heard gun shots all around. But by 9am My Cowboy was ecstatic to get a buck. Not the biggest buck because we have seen that trophy and have Buck Fever to get him ASAP. We do have plenty of meat for awhile.

Kendalyn and I are so proud.

We are processing the venison ourselves, quite the task. I better get back to making the sausage.
I also received a SUPER Surprise from my Cowboy over the weekend that I can't wait to share with you!!!!
We are 22 weeks preggers Tomorrow!!! YEAH!!! To make opening weekend ever better Kendalyn decided to make her high kicks known to mommy. I love feeling my lil lady.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to blog about the rest of our excitement soon. Stay tuned!

Just give me a glue gun

My little girl has her own bow holder. Made courtesy by her momma!!

I bought a gold "K" from HobLob and spray painted it black.

I bought the black/white material and solid black ribbon at HobLob as well.

I cut it, folded it Perfectly I might add and glued it to the "K"

Now her bows are nice and organized.

My baby girl has 3 bows already. I have an order in for a few smaller bows. I am thinking that if I conquered this task then I will be making some bows. I have some ribbon already and can't wait to get started.
So just hand me a glue gun and you never know what you will get!!!
