1 year stats

I just got Kendalyn in to see her doctor last week.  Her amazing, wonderful, God sent doctor is battling Stage 2 breast cancer.  She has started her treatments but still tries to find time to take care of "her babies".  Her schedule is crazy so getting Miss K in has been a challenge but we finally got in!!  YEAH!!  Please pray for Dr. S; we have at least 20 more years to have her help us raise our babe  ; )

So on to Miss Kendalyn....

Missy Girl weighs 22 lbs (70% percentile)
                 height is 30 1/2 (75% percentile)
head circumference is 19 inches (95% percentile).

She is daddy's girl and loves to be outside.  She enjoys playing in the water, checking out the animals and getting dirty.  She loves to wear a hat like daddy does when they go outside.

She can say...dada, mom, Uff Uff  (Remington), and ChiChi (chickens).  Yaya, Papa, water, apple, juice, Shs shs (shoes), bottle, Addie (every child she sees is an Addie so we have started saying girl and boy), thank you, home, bow (with the southern draw of Boooooow ; ) and so much more

She repeats things we say.  She has even said phrases, "Where did daddy go?, What's that?"

She is momma's world.  She cannot leave the house without a bow on her head.  She loves shoes and looking pretty.

The red hair is coming through not only in plain sight but in attitude.  I think it is hilarious and politely give you to your daddy when you start the red-headed tude  ; )

She loves books and playing.  She is a busy girl.  I know this is just the tip of the iceberg in Miss K's life.

Kendalyn,

In this year of your life you have brought your daddy and I so much joy, love and happiness.  You may never truly know the impact you have made on our lives.  We are so blessed God chose us to have you in our lives.  You are the smartest and most beautiful girl we know.  You amaze us everyday.

We love you to the moon and back again.

Easter 2012-Part 2

Easter Sunday we woke up for church.  Kendalyn always loves to hear the singing before church.  She dances around with the best of them.  I took her to her Nursery Class while we have services and she cried...like ugly cry.  The sweet ladies took her in and let her see her friends.  I stood at the door and listened and she settled down.  I gave it 10 minutes and sent daddy to check on her.  By this time our little lady had made herself throw up and was not having Nursery School today.  Daddy said it wasn't worth it and we didn't want her to hate her church school because of this moment.  I was glad he knew exactly how I felt.  We whisked her away and went home.  I feel bad for the family who was bringing in their newborn for the first time though, oops.

Well, we didn't make this situation spoil our Easter Fun!
After a long nap, Little Missy saw that the Eater bunny had visited her.

Look at that excitement....priceless

She loved the tunnel at My Little Gym.  We found this one at Michael's and she enjoys it so much.  It was the most inexpensive thing we bought.  Why does that always happen??!!!

Love these two!

Daddy helped break out the goodies that the Easter bunny left....

a harmonica

Miss K's turn

She knows how to shake a maraca

Our little band

But give momma an Abby Cadabby Fairy Wand--Zzzing!

So smart playing with her puzzles

Then it was time for the egg hunt.

Silly rabbit

An egg in each hand

She had fun looking for the eggs

But that rabbit sure left alot  ; )

Pretty girl

Love this shot

She found some in the herb garden too

2 purple eggs...one for each hand

When it was all done we had to put on our hat and play.

Now these next pictures are hilarious.  I have to explain....
We had gone inside and continued playing.  I think we threw in another nap.  Well, daddy was watering the yard and it was time to move the hose.  I was changing her diaper and she heard the sliding door.  She was very upset that daddy didn't take her.  So I took her outside.  I left her with daddy for a minute and then look outside to find this....

Our  beautiful, magical waterbaby found the sprinkler.

It was cold but oh so fun and funny

She loves the water and I know this summer we will be doing alot of this.

Oops, I've been caught.  : )

Having a blast!!

And then I was wrangled and taken inside.

Is it still there?

Silly little rabbit  : )

We love making memories as our family of 3 plus a furry babe  ; )

Easter 2012

Happy Easter Everyone!

We had a wonderful Easter together with family.  Although Little Missy didn't quite understand what was going on yet, everyone had a wonderful time.

Here is Part 1 of Easter.  We only took around 300 pictures so I will spare you that many and give you the jist of it....in two posts  : )

Saturday we went out to my parent's to celebrate Easter and my brother's birthday.
Kendalyn with Yaya.  I don't know who had more fun, Yaya or Kendalyn.  They were both running around the house.

Kendalyn had an egg hunt.

Everyone joined in on the fun.  She always wanted to have two eggs in each hand.  She didn't want to let them go.  I guess she is use to get the real chicken eggs and holding tightly like her daddy tells her to ; )

 Showing me how it's done

Mom has a hand, there's an egg in the other...now how do I get this one?!!  The challenges of toddlerhood : )

 So excited

A group pics with an egg in each hand...that's my girl

Kendalyn also got a hobby horse from Yaya and Papa.  She was in heaven.
She really got the hang of it and showed us her trick riding skills.  At one time she was bouncing with an egg in each hand.  Silly girl.

 Pretty girl

We also took a trip to see my Grandma S.

Kendalyn loved her necklace.  Now we see K gets the red hair from my side too...maybe.

We had fun talking with grandma.

Kendalyn was telling grandma how she took out her booooooow (insert southern draw on bow)

We got to see my Uncle Jim and K wasn't quite sure about him.  Silly

My two loves.

Lots of exciting things happened on Easter Sunday.  I can't wait to share.  It's amazing that Kendalyn was just 7 weeks old last year.  What a time we have had.   Part 2 coming soon  : )
