That's A Wrap!

After a cold, rainy, and "snowy" week, we've had a wonderful weekend.

Friday was Go Texan Day to kick-off the

At work we dressed up in our cowboy/cowgirl duds. I don't know how many people asked me where my cowgirl hat was and why was I not wearing a plaid shirt. Hello, this cowgirl has to wear some bling!!! AND my hair would be flat if I wore my hat.

Insert pic of me....
Sorry I don't have ANY pictures of this weekend. Cowboy and I were going 9-0 and I never once stopped and remembered the camera.

Continuing on with our pictureless weekend.
Cowboy and I had a dinner date Friday night. We also attended my cousin Wendy's wedding on Saturday. Sunday we tried to complete our normal weekend errands in one day!!

This week doesn't slow down either

My Cowboy's Birthday is on the 5th
and we will be heading to the rodeo

Design Dilemma

To All the Decorating-Loving,
Talented and Creative Ladies Out in BlogWorld
Yesterday I posted about our new mirror. If you looked inside the mirror you will see my design disaster.

It's a "Hole" in the wall. Now it is very visable with the mirror there.

What on God's green earth do I do with it???

When I was ranting and raving about it to my Cowboy his wonderful, sweet, and comforting words were...."Just Blog About It"

Help!! Your thoughts will be GREATLY appreciated.

Weekend Fun!

Oh my word!!! The Williamson's had a wild and crazy, WONDERFUL weekend.

It all begin Friday night. My Cowboy and I had dinner plans set but they all changed. We were to have dinner at Rockfish and then an evening of shopping. My cousin is getting married this coming weekend and I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR, ugh. However, My Cowboy talked with some friends and the plans totally changed, in a good way. We had dinner at Chili's with them.

Then we went to a new dancehall in NW Houston. If you know anything about my Cowboy and I is that we love to dance so having a VIP invite to the Grand Opening of this place was awesome. Whiskey River was so much fun. We would love to go back...good atmosphere, good food, and great music.

(On a sidenote, we must be getting wiser (not older, HA!) We were home by 11:00 p.m.)

On Saturday we decided to try again for the wedding attire shopping but instead ended up in the Woodlands at Sam Moon.

I was looking for a mirror for our living room and heard about their home & decor store. I found lots of neat things. I also have a design dilema that I will be posting about soon...stay tuned.

We then went to Garden Ridge to see their choices of mirrors. (I kind of thought Sam Moon was a bit overpriced in the mirror section).

After getting design confirmation from my friend Terrie and her son Eli, whom we met at G.R. We found a beautiful and very well priced mirror for the mantle.

My Cowboy and I decided to have our fish dinner at Pappadeaux, YUM!

So...in the end I got my dinner date and a new mirror but I still have NOTHING to wear for the wedding. T Minus 4 days and counting....Oh My!!
Here is the mirror we chose.

I hope we weren't the only ones with a wild weekend.

Check it out...

We have decided on a new blog title. Although it wasn't a initial idea from my Cowboy or myself, we were able to hear your input and put something together. This leaves it WIDE open for the trails we have encountered and the ones we will meet in the future.

Thanks for riding the trails with us.

***********
For other exciting news, I got to meet the author Gay Su Pinnell. Educators will know her as a phenominal leader in educating teachers to help struggling readers. I was so excited, hence the cheesy smile, ha!! She is like a God of Reading! She is the one standing up. The others are teachers with me. We met at Perry's Steakhouse in The Woodlands for a roundtable discussion. Oh my word, so cool!!

This was almost as exciting as meeting these amazing ladies last year
Tomorrow is our baby's 1st birthday. I can't wait to post about his day. We just love our furry baby.

All you need is LOVE!

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We did!

Friday I received some jewelry from my Cowboy. Below is one of the necklaces. I also got my hair done that night.

Saturday we ventured out
Dinner here...

Some shopping here....

And here...
We also watched The Proposal and The Ugly Truth. Chick flicks but they were so hilarious.

Sunday was a beautiful day. We enjoyed it at home and hubby did some grilling.

I can't believe I didn't get a picture of us from our weekend. Maybe we'll have to do it all over again, HA!
Hubby decided to stay home today from work since I am off. He is the best!
How was your weekend?

Need your Advice....

The Williamson's need a new title
I've been thinking of a new, catchy title for our blog. My Cowboy and I have been thinking of a few. Here's our thoughts....
1) Rem and me and the Cowboy
2) you, me, and remi
3) Dancing through Life with My Cowboy
Let us know what you think. Maybe you are creative and could help us out. We appreciate it.

Random Thoughts Thursday

I was going through my iPhone and found some pictures that I haven't shared.
So saddle up and check out what we have been up to.

A few weekends ago we ventured out to Mel's Country Cafe. It has yummy burgers. This quaint lil burger joint in a hard-to-find area of town was packed with people. The atmosphere was so fun.

My Cowboy was trying to take a picture of the wall where many people have attempted to eat their biggest burger. The names are to the right of the picture behind the man in blue.

At this point I'm thinking.. "hurry up already" HA!

Surprise it's picture time with a mouth full of food!!

Mel's Cafe was featured in Texas Monthly.
The Food Network was there just a week prior to us visiting.

I've also been painting. I saw this on another blog and thought I had to do it. I found an old ladder.
{Side note: I apologize now to my uncles for ruining a perfectly good, workable ladder.}
Back to the story: I sanded it, stained it Ocean Blue, and varnished it. I plan to place it in my garden so my green beans or tomatoes can grow on it. I'll blog a finished picture soon
{Again, I apologize for the attire and minimal make-up or lack there of} HA!!

I've seen this face before...It's the insert my maiden name here look.

My yummy oatmeal cookies I made for hubby one evening after work. I was going to place them in a beauiful bowl and take a wondeful "photography" picture but they didn't last that long.

Another creative moment. We were at Lowe's and I found these baskets for $20. I placed them in our laundry room to hold old towels and sheets for the outside plants. OH my word, it makes a HUGE difference. It's so much better than having towels tumbling down on top of you.

I am open to new and creative ideas for the house, gardening, and for anything you would like to share.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and creative weekend.
