We added a flower bed with dahlias, gladious, and roses. We thought it would be perfect for our baby girl. The flowers should be in full bloom in late spring/summer.

A Weekend of Gardening
With less than 11 days to go in the arrival of Miss Kendalyn we thought it would be a good idea to get our garden going. We know once our baby girl is here we won't have much time to get dirty.
The herb garden is up and going. The cilantro, mint, thyme, sage and rosemary are vibrant.

We added a flower bed with dahlias, gladious, and roses. We thought it would be perfect for our baby girl. The flowers should be in full bloom in late spring/summer.
A new addition to our gardening is a peach tree. Peach pie, peach jelly...anyone??!!!
All the rows are tilled for planting
We also added an apple tree. It's two trees in one because you need more than one apple tree to produce, however we aren't quite ready for an orchard. I absolutely love the different shades of pink blooms. I'll have to take another picture when the blooms are open...GORGEOUS!!

I love it. Great pictures! I can not wait to start planting. This snow and cold weather needs to go away! :) Can't wait for Baby K to get here :)
ReplyDeleteYou're getting SOO close!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good. You better take it easy or you will be having that baby sooner than 11 days.
ReplyDeleteThe garden is coming right along! I am planting sweet potatoes this year as well. I am trying to grow my slips "trying" would be the key word in that sentence LOL... we will see how they do.
ReplyDeleteJust a nutritional tid bit. Sweet potatoes are the single most nutritious vegetable. Yep they are number one in nutrition of all veggies. They are also so very yummy :O). How easy will they be to make baby food from too as well! super easy :O)
