Anniversary Weekend

For our 4th wedding anniversary we drove out to enjoy life in H-town. There's only so much you can do with an almost 20 week preggo woman, HA!!

We went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see the Real Pirate exhibit. It was so cool and really gave you a great experience of that time.

Then we had dinner at Michaelangelos's and enjoyed some yummy Italian food.

We had a wonderful time and reflected on the past and our future....the best is yet to be!!!

This is our last anniversary as just us.
Our Baby B/K will be such a wonderful
addition for our 5th wedding anniversary.
And thank you to all of you for your
kind words on my last post.
It truly meant alot.

Our Wild Weekend-Part 2

Our wild weekend continued on Sunday. This time Santa Claus came a bit early. At about 8 am I called my parents to see if Santa had arrived and he did!! My wonderful Uncle Larry came bearing gifts of a baby cradle, glider and a few baby odds and ends. My Aunt Becky and my cousins are letting us use some of the baby things that they have. We are extemely blessed and grateful.

Of course I made my Cowboy set it up in our room. : )

Cute lil gender neutral bedding...Perfect for Baby B/K

We also made a trip to buy window shades for the nursery. I can't wait until it comes in!!
Another weekend shows us how truly loved our baby is.

Our Wild Weekend-Part 1

On Saturday we woke up e....a...r...l...y to drive out to Crockett. My Cowboy wanted to check on the feeder and on the grass seeds we planted for the deer. We got there just after daybreak. We spent some time in the deer blind scouting out any perspective game. We saw quite a few deer so we are very excited for opening weekend.

We headed out to the town of Crockett. This is their square which holds the county courthouse.

We ate lunch at The Moosehead Cafe. Great homestyle cookin'.

The town square has cute boutiques

And hometown friendly spots

I love venturing out to small towns.
To travel to Crockett we have to take Interstate 45. On the way back home this time I was in NEED of some make-up. Dressed in our camo we went to The Woodlands mall. If you have ever been to The Woodlands you know it is an upscale suburb of Houston. So going in the mall was quite adventurous with a few stare downs... Thank God we didn't see anyone we know!!!
My Cowboy at the jewelry counter in Macy's
(These pictures were taken with my iphone)

I thought Dillard's had m.a.c makeup, um NO! So we had to walk all the way across the mall to Macy's
My Cowboy on the "hunt", ha!!

You might be a Redneck if you show up to the mall in your camo, hehehe

We were in The Woodlands so we dressed the part...doesn't everyone : )

The things we do for one another...LOVE

Yes, our weekend adventures continued so I had to put them into two parts. Stay tuned!!!

This and That

Yes, that's right. In just 10 days we find out what we are having. I am sure you are all tired of me saying how anxious we are to find out the gender of our baby. But this momma wants to SEE her baby. I haven't seen Baby B/K in almost 10 weeks!!! That's a long time. Oh, 10 days please fly by : )

I bought this book along with 5 others for $15. What a deal and in great condition!! I have just started reading it and I think it might be better than the "Expect" books. It describes week by week what is happening to you and to the baby but it doesn't have random questions/answers that don't pertain to you like the other one does. It has Very detailed pictures which I love. It makes this whole pregnancy process so intriguing. I can't wait to share the others with you.

This weekend should be another good one. I hope to take lots of pictures and maybe share some baby things too : )

Have a good weekend!

He Hunts, I Shop

This weekend My Cowboy went hog hunting with some friends. Unfortunately, it was a guys only trip (how dare they). So I decided to do some shopping, HA!!

Mom, dad, and I headed to the Scarecrow Festival in Chappell Hill, Texas on Saturday.

I love going and have many memories of going as a kid. I still remember the puff painted shirts and matching bows that I would get, HA!!

I checked out the kids clothing booths and told them I would be back when we knew what we were having. At many of them I asked for their website to start some shopping.

I did get...

Handmade soap

Another cross for the wall

This picture is not the best. The lighting is horrible. When I hang it on the wall I will definitely share another picture.

A handmade hooded bath towel for the baby.

As we were walking through the booths I realized that if we have a girl we will be broke from buying little bows for her hair. So when I got home I checked out you.tube to see how to make bows. All I have to say is that Cowboy better invest in stocks for ribbon cause this momma will be making them and one for every outfit. Did you expect anything less : ) I may have found another hobby!!
On Sunday Cowboy was still chasin' hogs. Kind of like the Ags were doing with the Hogs Saturday night. : (
Mom and dad came out to our house and to take me to the new Babies R Us near us. I am so ready to start our baby registry. There is so much to chose from.
Grandpa bought our first package of newborn diapers.

I know, it will probably last us 2 days. Aren't they so little?!!

Then they took me maternity clothes shopping. I finally got some pants for work. WHHOOOOO HOOOOO!!! I got a few tops and a comfy sweater.

I am just in tears with all of this. My parents are so generous and I know they will do the same for Baby B/K. I love and appreciate them so much. I know that our baby is coming into a family with lots of love.
OK, dry up the tears......
Cowboy took a pic of the guys. He didn't get anything, maybe next time

And the laundry, JOY!!! There was already a load in the washer, ugh.

It's definitely fall y'all!!

Hunting, shopping,
goregous weather
Can we get another
fabulous weekend...SOON!?!?!

It's My Day Off...

but why do I have a list a mile long of things to do!!
Sleeping in is a joke now.
I guess baby is on a schedule
so there is no extra sleep for the mommy.

Now I'm just waiting for My Cowboy
to call with his list of things
he wants me to do

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
I can't wait to share ours.
It includes hunting, shopping and football.
Whoop!!!

Now he is shy, HA!!

On to pregnancy highlights....

How far along: 17 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At the doctor's appt. I gained a pound. But on my scale I may be at 2 lbs. I think I am doing FABULOUS!!
Maternity clothes: I'm in need of pants.
A safety pin is not working like it use to.
Gender: We will find out October 25th!!
Movement: Still feeling a few "puffs/flutters"
Ready for the big stuff : )
Sleep: Pretty normal with a few adjustments or potty breaks. Here lately all I want to do is sleep but there are not enough hours in the day.
What I Miss: A glass of wine (not gonna lie)
Cravings: Nothing really.
Symptoms: Nothing.
I have been extremely blessed
with a wonderful pregnancy.

Don't forget to vote on the side bar whether
