Got A Heartbeat and Real Milk??

Before our appointment on Thursday, Cowboy and I stopped at Sonic.

Jennifer at the Killion's told me to get a Green Apple slush so that the baby is moving and groving for the ultrasound. Well, it was, with a heartbeat of 150 but we didn't get to see it. : ( The slush was so good and I know I will be getting one the next time we go.

Daddy got a Snickers Blast. YUM!!!

I have been doing my research to see if the heartbeat tells us a gender. Unfortunately, my searches just said not to go by the heartbeat to tell the gender. My mom said that my heartbeat was fast and the dr. was convinced I was a boy...And I am so not a boy. I have read many old wives tales to figure out the gender; I think that is what makes me even more curious. The conclusions do point to one gender in particular. : 0

On Saturday we ventured out to Gramen Farms. It's an organic farm that sells meat and dairy products. Grant and his wife Ellie were so nice. They gave us a tour and we sampled some of the products. They have owned this farm for a month now and are making wonderful changes.

We took home some raw cow and goat milk. The owners have a 2 year old and an 8 month old so I was questioning them about the health benefits during and after pregnancy.

We are trying many things to ensure our baby has an organic lifestyle. Maybe that's why Cowboy has been in the garden for the second weekend in a row planting more things for the baby. I am excited to learn how to make homemade baby food. If you have any suggestions for us on how to lead this new lifestyle, let us know. We know a trip to Sonic isn't in it, HA!!

  1. I think it's fun to try and go by old wives tales, just to see if you can figure out what you're having! My husband had a fast heartbeat and the doctor was certain he would be a girl. Guess not! Do you have a feeling as to what you're having?

  2. I'm glad you enjoyed the farm! But am so disappointed you didn't find out the gender at your last appointment! I can't wait to know what you are having. My sister is due a few weeks after you! I'm hoping for girls for both of you. HA!
