Got A Heartbeat and Real Milk??

Before our appointment on Thursday, Cowboy and I stopped at Sonic.

Jennifer at the Killion's told me to get a Green Apple slush so that the baby is moving and groving for the ultrasound. Well, it was, with a heartbeat of 150 but we didn't get to see it. : ( The slush was so good and I know I will be getting one the next time we go.

Daddy got a Snickers Blast. YUM!!!

I have been doing my research to see if the heartbeat tells us a gender. Unfortunately, my searches just said not to go by the heartbeat to tell the gender. My mom said that my heartbeat was fast and the dr. was convinced I was a boy...And I am so not a boy. I have read many old wives tales to figure out the gender; I think that is what makes me even more curious. The conclusions do point to one gender in particular. : 0

On Saturday we ventured out to Gramen Farms. It's an organic farm that sells meat and dairy products. Grant and his wife Ellie were so nice. They gave us a tour and we sampled some of the products. They have owned this farm for a month now and are making wonderful changes.

We took home some raw cow and goat milk. The owners have a 2 year old and an 8 month old so I was questioning them about the health benefits during and after pregnancy.

We are trying many things to ensure our baby has an organic lifestyle. Maybe that's why Cowboy has been in the garden for the second weekend in a row planting more things for the baby. I am excited to learn how to make homemade baby food. If you have any suggestions for us on how to lead this new lifestyle, let us know. We know a trip to Sonic isn't in it, HA!!

A Tear and a Cheer!

I loved reading all of your comments on my last post. They are all so wonderful.

On Thursday we went to the doctor. Unfortunately, she did not do an ultrasound.......

However, we did get to hear the baby's heartbeat. An amazing heartbeat at 150!!!

We won't find out the gender until October 25th. It will be a great anniversary gift though : )

This weekend we will be supporting our two favorite teams.

I KNOW this baby is going to love some football!!!

Pregnancy Highlights
How far along: 15 weeks!!
Size of baby: An apple!!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Not sure. I go to the dr. on Thursday
Maternity clothes: I'm around 6 year olds all day so I am all about the comfort. Wearing dresses and loving my maternity jeans. I will need some pants very soon for this cold TX weather, HA!!
Gender: Praying hard that we can find out on Thursday. Sure do hope we can see something : )
Movement: Feeling a few "puffs/flutters". But my Cowboy thinks it's gas (TMI : )
We are ready to feel the real stuff
Sleep: Pretty normal with a few adjustments or potty breaks during the night. I am so happy that I am not getting overly tired during the day. I have lots of energy at work but I have to relax when I get home.
What I Miss: Glass of wine (not gonna lie)
Cravings: Nothing really. Mexican food, occasionally. I can tell you what I don't want to eat.

Gotta love the maternity jeans : )

**Don't forget to vote on whether you think we are having a little cowboy or cowgirl**

Our Weekend

We had another fun weekend here on the farm. I do get a bit giddy when I think that in just 4 days we get to hear the baby's heartbeat and that it's not just another dreaded week.

In baby news....My dear friend Ashley sent us this congratulations card. I thought it was perfect.

My cowboy got a new baby this weekend. I think he is definitely ready for hunting season, don't you??

While my Cowboy decided to go to the gun range this weekend, of course. I went to Hobby Lobby.
I added to my cross wall and hall : )

I hadn't posted about this cute pumpkin yet but I got it at Ross of all places. On Halloween night, we will place a light inside of it and put it on the front porch. I only got one because a lady was buying all of the rest for her "huge front porch". I chose the one with a cuter face though, ha!!

The pumpkins in the vase came from Garden Ridge last year. The two other pumpkins came from HobLob when I was there buying a few crosses.

I did find some C.U.T.E. things for the nursery this weekend. I can't wait to find out what we are having so I can put all of my ideas into the nursery.
We also worked in the garden to get it ready for the fall. We kept our tomato plants in because last year when the weather cooled off we got an abundance of tomatoes. We hope that happens again.

We planted lettuce, spinach, cabbage, and chard.

As for the rest of our farming....
Our one little lime. I'm saving it for my first drink of mojito after the baby comes. HA!!

Our tomatoes that are finally coming up

And the herb garden is full of herbs and flowers, just like I have always wanted.

Now you are officially caught up with what has been happening on the farm. I can't wait to share my Baby Bump-Week 15 post with you on Wednesday!!! Please pray that we might catch a glimpse of the gender at our appointment on Thursday. (I know, wishful thinking)
Y'all guessed some great names in my past post about Baby B (boy) and Baby K's (girl) name. Someone did come close to the baby girl's name. I do have to say the names we picked are very unique as I do teach and have a MUCH LONGER list of what not to name our child : ) then a list of what to name our child.
Hop on over to my side bar and guess the baby's gender. I can't wait to see what the results are!!!

A Little Bit of This & That

Before I could blog about things going on at the farm I had to take care of a few things.

Baby *B*K* received his/her first bib and burpcloth from Brandy at Jumping Jack. If you have not hopped over to her blog or to her etsy shop you need too. She has some cute things for Halloween as well.

We are absolutely in love with our very first baby items. I cannot wait to use them. Brandy, you are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!

Secondly, Alayna...I have been wanting to comment back to you. Please let me know a way that I could send you a message/comment. Thanks girl.

Next, I am very proud of my Aggies. WHOOP!!!

That's all I am saying about that : )

And finally.....

Happy Grandparent's Day!!!

Love, Baby B*K

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Friday evening we headed out to Crockett, Texas to my Cowboy's family land to do some much needed relaxation, enjoying of the cool weather and getting ready for deer season.

We had to brush off and clean up our deer stand.

My Cowboy was on the tractor clearing out some brush.

Baby and I are camo ready for this year's hunting season. I hope to make it for opening weekend but I don't think we can handle the "colder" temperature.

I feel like I grew so much overnight. Maybe it's just what I was wearing, HA : )

My Cowboy's dad was so excited to tell the extended family that I am giving him another grandbaby. This baby will make Grandbaby #10 on Cowboy's side and #1 for mine. My Cowboy's sister is due in December with a little boy.

Cowboy was busy putting corn in the feeders.

I loved that he was sporting his maroon A&M shirt for Game Day. WHOOP!!! Such a trooper.

Remington enjoyed himself also. He ran, played, jumped in the pond and enjoyed all the attention from Cowboy's family. I don't know how we are going to get him back to normal. They spoiled him so much.
But he deserves it : )

We loved this Labor Day weekend of relaxing.
(Just sitting on the 4-wheeler, mom)

We hope that this hunting season will be a great one.

And a great football season, Gig 'Em Aggies!!!

I was able to find the A&M game on the radio. One reason we love going to Crockett is that there is no TV. Can't you see why it's a relaxing place to be. I also followed the game on Tw.itt.er.
Aggies BTHO SFA!!! WHOOP!!

I also wanted to say Thank You to all of you that left comments on our last post about our little bundle of joy. We loved every single one of them and can't wait to share it with the baby in the future.
And Welcome to my new followers. We appreciate you joining us on our trail through life.
