It's My Un-Birthday (lunch)!!
Don't you love celebrating your birthday when it's not your birthday??!!! It's the best. On Sunday we went to my parent's to celebrate my birthday and my future sis-in-law, Katie's birthday. My birthday is July 25th and hers was on July 7th.
I received a teacher clipboard that Katie made and a picnic blanket. But of course the cash was the best!!
I love that Katie and Cole already have their wedding registry up. It was easy to pick out Katie's birthday gift, haha. Christmas will be a cinch for them : )

Baby Food Makin'
More iPhone uploads.....
Because we are having this Texas drought our garden has kind of been a hit or miss this year. We have squash and green beans. It seems like the veggies that grew so well for us in year's past aren't doing so well this year. There won't be any canning or pickling this year.
So instead we've decided to make baby food.
We had alot of green beans. I snapped the ends and boiled the beans.

Put them in my food processor to puree

And I made baby food : )

My Cowboy asked if I tasted it...um, yeah, it tastes like green beans!!

I froze them in small storage containers and I will add breastmilk/formula when I am ready to feed her the beans. I have found where she can eat them between 8-10 months. I can't wait!!
I did the same thing with the squash we grew. Currently, Kendalyn is eating apples and bananas with rice cereal. We will be trying avocado and sweet potato soon : )

My Workout Partner
More iPhone uploads....
Earlier this summer I was working on a workout routine that worked with Kendalyn's nap schedule. I wanted to take morning walks in the neighborhood before the Texas heat hits.
So we got dressed and were ready to go!!

Here legs are blurry because she was moving them around so much.

You are 4 months now. You change so much every day. Daddy and I enjoy all the new things that you are doing. You make us so happy.
*You received your first sovenior t-shirt. Thanks Uncle Cole : )
*You rolled over on 4th of July.
*You belly laugh. It's the best.
*You started to eat solid foods. Rice cereal, apples, and bananas are on the menu so far.
*You babble and make strawberries with your mouth.
**I'm sure I'm forgetting others.
We love you sweet angel. You are the light of our lives.

Playing with Grammy
July 2011
My Cowboy smoked/cooked brisket and ribs for 14 hours. Even with a baby we haven't pulled all-nighters like that in a L.O.N.G time. Grammy made some great sides. We topped it off with apple pie and Blue Bell Homemade Vanila ice cream. Yum!!
