A Weekend Wrap Up on a Tuesday

We enjoyed a great relaxing weekend. After receiving a phone call Thursday night regarding the price of my procedure we decided to cancel it. I have been on a medicine and a diet that seems to be working. We figured if it got worse we would know that we needed an arm & a leg to pay for the procedure. I almost fell over and died when the lady told me the price....it more then tripled what I had already paid.

Friday night we enjoyed a Texas thunderstorm.

On Saturday morning we completed our normal Saturday morning routine and found these beauties in the garden.

We are super excited that we have nice healthy squash. We have tried for 2 years now to grow them and we almost had given up hope that we could grow them. OOOOOOO YEEEEEEE!!!!!!

With my special diet, I've lost 10 pounds. My Cowboy decided to step it up and got this.

We are trying it out. Sorry you won't see any before shots but you will definitely see our progress. HA!!!

Saturday night we got a call from Jason's dad that they were coming to our town!!! Double OOOOOOO YEEEEE!!!!!!! They were wanting some of my decorating tips as they remodel the house at the PPR.

We had a Sunday dinner at.....

Oh my heavens, what an experience.

Then we headed to Lowe's for some of my DIY tips. The ranch now has new fixtures, rugs, paint, flooring and fresh ideas for the house.

Well, My Cowboy is in the garden now. I better step away from the blog to see what is happening. Tomorrow is Hump Day and I only have 7 more days left of school!!! YEE HAW!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to stop by and say HI!!!

Look How Our Garden Is Growing

A Day on the Williamson farm

The Herb Garden

We planted the rosemary last year. It came back so big.
From top left to bottom right...
mint, dill, mint, lavender, basil, sage

Dill-it has grown tall and turned into seeds at the top
It's surrounded by mint.

The main garden.
We have been fixing it up a bit. It is a work in progress. We love how it is coming together.

Cucumbers are starting to grow up the ladder.

Bell peppers on the left and Eggplant on the right

Pole beans

Peppers

Tomatoes. We have lots of tomatoes planted in pots. They need to be transferred to the garden. We've had alot of tomatoes come back from last year.

Eggplant and squash in the back
We may be picking our 1st squash tomorrow!!!
Here's a story: We have tried to grow squash for 2 years now. We never have much luck. Blooms fall off, squash is small, or none at all. So we are ecstatic that it is working out better this year.

Potatoes

CORN!!

And of course Remington is growing.

How Does Your Garden Grow??!!

Do you have any good advice or tips for us?? How do you keep insects away? Do your blooms fall of your plants? We'd love to hear it!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

God made a wonderful Mother
A mother who doesn't grow old.
He made her a smile of sunshine,
And a heart of pure gold.
In her cheeks he placed fair roses,
in her eyes, stars that shine.
God made a wonderful Mother,
And that wonderful Mother is mine.
Happy Birthday!!
We love you!

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was a hodge-podge of a little bit of everything. My Cowboy and I always have an outline of what our weekend entails so that it is very productive. However, this weekend was far from it.

Friday night-We ran errands around town and had dinner. This is always a good plan so that we can get everything we need to complete our projects. So it started off on the right track.

Saturday morning-It all changed by 9am. We were to head to the PPR to visit with Cowboy's family and to pick up some material.

Instead...

We went to the Matt Family Orchard in Hockley,TX. They have a Farmers Market on Friday and Saturday.

I think this may turn into a Saturday morning event. We came home to paint some signs for the garden, work on the garden, etc.

Sunday morning we finally headed to the ranch. While driving out there we spotted this car. I tried to get a picture but I was laughing so hard. This man was decked out with tattoos and a black hat. But that was just the start.

His car had a cow head on the front grill and silver glitter stickers all over it. The back bumper said "Lightning Struck...The Edge". Very interesting, ha!!

They are remodeling the house at the ranch so I didn't take any pictures.

Once we got home I took pictures of my garden signs.

"Bloom Where You Are Planted"

Remington got hosed off after going to the ranch. Stinky doggie.
He had to get ready for his picture, ha.

We hope your weekend was a fabulous one!!
