Weekend Recap

Saturday morning Jason and I woke up around 8:30 a.m. We slept in!!! However, I wondered why at 7am our lil' Remington didn't bark. He knows the time we usually get moving. Jason usually leaves for work at that time and I go outside for my gardening routine.

When I walked into the kitchen and looked out into the backyard this is what I found.

It SNOWED in Remi's Kennel!!!

NOT!!!!!

He decided to tear up his doggie bed.

He was so quiet when I got closer to the kennel. I think he knew he made a mistake.

This is what hubby and I decided to do about it......

We made Strawberry Pancakes!!!

YUM!!!!

The day continued with some playing in our yard; mowing and working in the flower beds. It was so hot outside that we decided to keep the sprinklers on to try and keep cool. I bet the neighbors thought we were crazy when we would stand in front of the sprinklers as if we were 5 years old.

We also enjoyed a visit from my parents. Jason barbequed ribs, pork chops, and sausage. We also had some yummy coconut creme pie!!!

Happy Us after a Long Day!!!! We were so sunburned.

1 Tomato, 2 Tomato, 3 Tomato, More!!

On Sunday afternoon, Jason and I decided to check our garden. We raked in some goodness!!

Boredom or Creativity??

I had to share a few pictures of my lastest creations. I have watched numerous HGTV shows, looked online and read magazines to start letting my creativity flow. What do you think?

A student gave me this glass vase with flowers in it on the last day of school. Of course, the flowers died and I kept the vase.

On our trip to Brenham about a month ago Jason and I went to Blue Bell. I couldn't pass up this neat bucket. Perfect for the summer season. Don't ask Jason how much it cost!!!

This is what I came up with

The lady at Garden Ridge thought I was crazy when I bought all of the lemons, limes, and flowers. Jason did too. However, it was much cheaper to get it there than at Hobby Lobby. I can find a bargin when I want to.

Father's Day Weekend

WOW!!! We need another weekend to recoup from this past weekend. We have returned from our "World Travels" (6 hours of drive time) of seeing our dads. We can't wait for the day that they come here!!

Friday- My cousin Jenni and I went to see our "cousin" Tashya and her 3 month old little girl, Brooklyn. We enjoyed playing catch up, lunch and shopping.

Firday evening-I went to a jewelry party while Jason and Remington "played". I can't wait until my bracelet comes in!!

Saturday-Jason and I traveled to Sealy to see mom, dad, and Cole. The kids decided to surprise my dad by fixing his irrigation system in the yard as his Father's Day present. Well, the boys did. Mom and I drank margaritas before having fajitas for dad's day. We also went to see my grandma. She enjoys our stories about the Williamson farm. (HA!)

Sunday-Jason and I woke up E---A---R---L---Y to travel about 2 hours to see Jason's dad for Father's Day. He invited us to his church and then we had lunch afterwards. We loved seeing the family. What fun!!

We finally got back to the farm Sunday evening. Remington was SO happy to see us and we were happy to see him. Jason decided to take him to the pond while I "tried" to finish up some school things, ugh. (wishful thinking)

What a great family fun-filled weekend. We can't wait to relax this coming weekend!!! HA!

Unfortunately, it was a pictureless weekend. However, I do have some pictures of Jason's "kids" HA!!!

Why does Rem have to get so big?

Rooster, Elli, and Miss Petti
**Update: The Williamson farm is still growing! We picked 11 tomatoes on Saturday and we have so many more to come. We even planted more veggies last weekend and they are growing...about 2 inches tall now!!

On a sad note...

About two weeks ago I said that Remington has a new chicken sister named Pepper. Well, I have to report today that Pepper is missing. We saw her with the 3 Stooges (Elli, Miss Petti, and the Rooster) all weekend. Last night I wanted to get a picture of her with my new camera and I couldn't find her. We have reason to believe that a hawk or other creature took her out of her loving home sometime Sunday night.

Pepper, you are loved and missed. We enjoyed having you on the Williamson farm.

Sunday FunDay

After the gun range trip, Jason and I took Remington to the park for some swimming fun. Here is of a video of his fetching skills.

What a good job, Remington!!! And me for recording this video, HA!

Trip to the Gun Range

On Sunday we drove out to the outdoor gun range on 290. We heard that many people take their puppies there to hear the gun shots and to evaluate how they would react in the hunting field. Jason's biggest fear was seeing that Remington was gun shy.

At first he was a little skidish and busy looking for the shots being fired.

Remington and Jason got a bit closer just to check it out.

Here they are hanging out by the shooting area.

Is he gun shy or not?????????????

NO!!!!! It didn't even bother him after awhile!!!!!

Isn't he so cute relaxing under the trees and listening to the gunshots??!!!!!!

Slip N Slide

As I am still learning my new camera I was able to capture some great action shots of the kiddos playing on the slip n slide at Alona's party.
Check it out...

Lindsey's slide. Check out the bottom right corner. What a splash!

Love this one of Gavin!

Here comes the Gavin-ator!!!! He was awesome for being 3 years old but he is all boy.

Just call me Mrs. Photographer, ha ha. Can't take that title away from Shanna!!!! She's the professional HA HA

Alona's Birthday

Happy 7th Birthday Alona!!!!
Saturday we made the trip to Jason's family ranch. We celebrated Alona's birthday. Alona is our niece and she was one of our flower girls at our wedding. She is getting so big. The kids enjoyed pool time, slip n slide, cake, food, and all the birthday fun.

Yes, she was the one that said nana-nana boo boo during the ceremony. What a character.

Our niece and nephew Lacey and Gavin.
Love those hot dog with chili and cheese lips, HA.

Our gift to Alona was a Fur Real puppy. She loves animals.
In the picture you can see Jason's dad, big Alanna (yes we have 2 just spelled differently, HA), Lindsey, Gavin, and you can see Jacob checking out his gift to Alona. I guess we know who will be taking her fishing in the morning.

Eat up, Yum Yum!!!

We had to leave before the pinata. But we loved seeing everyone and enjoying good family fellowship.

Meet my new friend

That's right, I got a new camera. Since our camera went out of service and I was taking pictures with my iPhone, we decided it was time for an upgrade. We had a busy weekend so what better time to get it than now. I am getting use to it and I am in love already.

Our Big Boy!!!

We had a MAJOR milestone at the farm today.

Remington hiked his leg while he used the restroom. Yes, I know how disgusting but I have seen other people blog about much worse things. AND I know Mrs. Theresa, our breeder, reads this post and she would also be so proud. BUT no I did not get a pic.

Our soon-to-be 4 month old is growing so fast. Enjoy some recent pics of our Remi.

Why does mom always have that thing in front of her eye? (camera)

You would think he has nothing else to play with but a tree swing.

Helping Dad wash the 4-wheeler. He loves to ride in the back and it is so cute.

He loves the water. Yesterday Jason took him to the park again while I cooked supper and he said he did amazing fetching sticks out of the water!!!
Hunting Season...HERE WE COME!!

Splash, Splash, Splash

On Sunday we rode out to the subdivision park. The three of us (me, my Cowboy, and Remi) hop onto the 4-wheeler and crusie to the park. They have a huge pond that Remington is very fond of. When Jason turns on the wheeler Remington starts barking because he knows where he is going. We can't wait for the day when Remington "loads up" on his own for a drive.

Our baby : )

He looks so majestic and is ready to jump in.

Action shot!!!

P.S. Remington has a new chicken sister, "Pepper". She joined our farm on Friday. Pictures to come.

Even I would have never imagined that I would pursue my dream of receiving a Master's Degree. As I opened my SamMail today I was surprised to find.......

College of Education Commencements
Saturday, August 8, 2009
at 10:00 a.m.
It was just 2 years ago that we sat at Cole's graduation from SHSU.
I could have NEVER done it without the love and support of my Cowboy!!!! When times got tough he ALWAYS told me I could do it. And his famous words when I hand him the bill, "We'll do what we have to do". Man, how did I get so lucky!

I never thought that upon holding the commencement program with Cole's name inside that I would soon find mine.

Aggie Gals Plus 1 and 2 On the Way!!!

On Monday I made the trip to wonderful College Station to see my friends, Melissa and Shayanne. We always try to play a little catch up between our busy lives.

We first met at Melissa's house to see the twin's room. Melissa and Matt are awaiting the arrival of Natalie and Meagan in July/August. We are thankful for their surrogate Lisa who is blessing these two wonderful people with TWINS!!!!

We went for lunch and checked out a few local shops around B/CS.

This is what Shaylee felt about everything. Too cute!!
Shaylee and I. I think I have seen this face given to me by her daddy, hehehe.

Melissa and Shaylee

Check out Miss Busybody. She just had her 1 year birthday. Just by Shayanne's body language I think she knows she is going to have many more fun filled years with her.

Momma says, "It's time to go"!!!!

We loved seeing Shayanne and Shaylee but it was time for a nap. Melissa and I decided to continue our venture so we went to the mall for some shopping.
The next time I see the girls I will also be meeting M&N. I am so excited.
I am so blessed to have great college friends. We have been through so much together; it only continues to get better.
