Thank you for all the birthday wishes!

It was a wonderful day.

Earlier this summer I entered a giveaway at Jumping Jack. Brandy is sharing her gift of sewing with the blog world and I WON her rag quilt giveaway. I finally got pictures of it.


Brandy is a Red Raider of Tech. I just noticed I'm sportin' my Maroon Out t-shrit from A&M. Sorry girl : )


I can't wait to put the quilt to good use.

Weekend Recap and Happy Hump Day!!

WOW, it's Wednesday!!! Where has this week gone?



This past Saturday we went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. We wanted to see "Lois" the Corpse Flower. We got to the museum at 9:10 a.m. but couldn't get tickets to see the flower until 5:45 pm. Tickets were selling like crazy. But if we purchased a membership to the museum we could see the flower at 9:15. Hello, Members of the HMNS!!!

I remember doing a bug project in 8th grade. We had to find the bugs and tack them to a board. Oooh, the memories.

TARANTULA!!!

Lois the corpse flower. It takes 7 years to bloom and once it does it smells like a corpse. Luckily, we got there a day after it had bloomed so it smelled like trash.

Then we were able to tour the rest of the butterfly museum.

Check out this couple's cameraS. Yes, they both had one. My Cowboy told her that she had a nice camera. She looked at his and told him well you have a nice one too now you just have to start accessorizing it. Oh, sure!!

DINOSAURS!!!!

We took our adventure to the basement of the museum. We found the Archaeopteryx:Icon of Evolution exhibit. We didn't have a ticket to see it but the lady let us in anyways. We thought if we were now "Members of the HMNS" we could get in anywhere, ha!!

We had to leave the museum to see Cowboy's family for my birthday dinner. But we will definitely be going back soon.

We spent the rest of the weekend enjoying time with both families celebrating my birthday.

Our Weekend

This weekend was another one full of adventures of food, family, friends, and the farm. I spent Friday with my mom, aunt, and grandmother. We always have a good time together. On Saturday, we ventured out to the local farmer's market to get some yummy goodness. We enjoyed visiting some friends Saturday night that we haven't seen in quite some time.

On Sunday, My Cowboy and I worked on the farm. My Cowboy created a better way to water the chickens. Now I don't have to go inside the chicken coop to water, Whooo HOOO!!! We harvested lots of veggies from the garden. My frig. is full. I have to figure out what to do with it all.
We have our first egg of the season on the farm.




I spent last week organizing the closets. I wanted to consolidate all of our stuff to the office closet. I succeed!!



I have alot of work stuff in the office so the closet will look even better once August comes. My Cowboy took 4 BAGS full of clothes to Goodwill. Unbelievable!!!

I feel like I have accomplished so much this summer. I may not want to go back to work, HA!!

After reading my cousin Shanna's blog and my friend Terrie's blog, I decided that I should start one too. I don't participate in any of the other social networks out there so I thought chosing blogging would be a fun way to share about our life and to meet new friends.

2. What are your blogging rules?

This blog is designed to share the trails we are taking in life. It is very real with our ups and downs. What you see (read) is what you get with us. We love our life and each other; boring and all, HA!! Throughout the blog you may have learned our full names although I use the words "My Cowboy" to describe the hubby. I don't share where in Texas we live. I also don't speak about our jobs because that is personal.
