Spring Break-Part 2

After a fun Monday I decided we'd continue our adventures and go to the Children's Museum with our friends.

The girls had a blast, a few meltdowns (that was my child), enjoyed lunch and some shopping. We came home and had a good nap!!

I think it was a successful day for all!!

Spring Break 2013- Part 1

Oh yes, we've had SsssooOoo much fun this past week that it needs more than one post. And also because this momma has been crazy with the pictures : )))

This past week has been Spring Break and we stayed busy for the majority of the week. I had an absolute blast being with my girl. It just makes me want the count down for summertime to begin.

On Monday, we went to Barnes and Noble to check out some books. Our girl came home with the book, "Every Cowgirl Needs Dancin' Boots" since she has been obsessed with the rodeo ever since we went (that's another post). We also went to a pottery place and painted a birdhouse for the garden. It should be ready soon!! A good lesson for mom: Perfection is not what's important; it's the memories you make. I kind of think this birdhouse might scare the birds ; ).

We also planted seeds for the garden with daddy. Love this daylight savings time!!

Birthday Party Day!!

This past Saturday we had Kendalyn's 2nd birthday party.  It was a garden themed party and much smaller than her first birthday.  I loved the small details in this year's party and we had it at home which seemed to run smoothly.  But I know with a busy toddler, next year's party will need to be as energetic as she is.  : )  (And don't worry I'm already thinking about that party, HA!)  

The Details:

I found the invitations online.  They were green and blue seed packets.  I even put sunflower seeds in the invitations.  It was super cute!

H0bL0b has the A-dorable green and blue paisley in their Spring section so I took that cuteness and ran with it.

I found flower straws in the Easter section at tar-jay.  My mom helped put the straws together and she loved it.

I made cupcakes.  They were dirt cake and carrot cupcakes .  This picture isn't even all the cupcakes we had.

 The food!  I loved the food. 
If you go up to the first picture you will see the seed buckets with fruit and veggies in them.  A P!n+3re$+ idea...I used the containers from the garden section of L0w3's and Tar-jay.  I had strawberries, blueberries, and grapes in the fruit containers and carrots and broccoli in the veggie ones.

The sandwiches were pita bread with ham/cheese and turkey/cheese.  I also made onion dip with chips.

Our home was full of wonderful family and beautiful Spring decorations.   Kendalyn enjoyed everyone singing to her and the many gifts she received. 

Her excitement was amazing.  She loved opening up the gifts and laughed and screamed with everything she received.  She is a pro at gift opening and always said thank you.

We love this little girl to pieces.

 She is a complete joy to be around.

 And we are thankful every day for God's precious gift he has given us.

On her "Birth" Day

Kendalyn woke up to hearing the Happy Birthday song just for her!! She ate cake (muffins), eggs and sausage for breakfast.

It was Rodeo Day at school and I took the day off from work!! Poor baby is going to think the rodeo comes to town just for her.....well, I Always thought the circus was here for me since it always came to town around my birthday.

So we geared up for the day and enjoyed the farm coming to school, Cowboy food, and Cupcakes!!!! The best part of the day was watching Kendalyn listen to the video of her classmates singing Happy Birthday to her. It was priceless!! And yes, I teared up. We ended the day with momma's home-cooking and more cake!! It was a perfect day for our girl!!

Rodeo 2013!!

On March 1st, daddy came home with HLS&R tickets, wahoo!!! We saw Brantley Gilbert the next day at the show. We all had a great time!!!

We took pictures before the rodeo. You'll notice we gave Miss K her bling necklace. It was intended to be a birthday gift but who doesn't like presents before your birthday!! Perfect for any cowgirl!

Kendalyn loved seeing the animals and cowboys. She has refused to go to school all week and told us she was going to see the horses and cowboys. It must run thick in her blood to enjoy the rodeo, lol!! Especially since We had our first date at a rodeo, haha!
