A Week with Mrs. Kynsley

Kendalyn enjoyed a week with Mrs. Kynsley and her daughter Addison when I went back to work. I've known this family for a few years as I've taught their son and daughter. I love how everything comes back full circle because I know that Kynsley will teach Kendalyn so much.

Kynsley came by to meet Kendalyn when she was a few weeks old. I think it was love at first sight. Kendalyn took very well to Kynsley and that made this mommy very happy. Kynsley has the mommy touch with three children of her own.

Kendalyn is so little in the above picture and now next to Addison (below) she looks like she can hold her own.

We saw a big change in Kendalyn's facial expressions. When you have a cute two year old around you learn alot. We know these two are going to be great friends.

Kendalyn's crazy momma (LOL) had to make sure everything was just right for her time away from home. I packed the quilt her great grandmother gave her. I just knew the scent and comfort of home would be right with her.

Kynsley's house is close to school so Kendalyn had many trips to see momma. This was on Field Day. It was hot and the kids were bouncing around and my child...sleeps ; )

Addison interacts with Kendalyn so much. She loves to feed her.

Smiles for mom and dad. We loved how Kynsley sent these first time parents videos and pictures throughout the day.

I learned that Kendalyn can be comfortable anywhere if she needs a good nap. I received this picture one afternoon at school from Kynsley and thought oh she feel asleep on a cozy brown blanket like the one she has at home. When I got to Kynsley's I learned it was a burnt orange blanket, ugh. : ) My baby bleeds maroon, WHOOP!! HA HA!!

Addison is reading to Kendalyn. K is blurry because her hands and feet are movin' and groovin'. That's Our Girl!!

Kendalyn also practiced sitting up in the cool zebra chair.

Chillin' with Addison

And of course one day...she dressed to match

We can't wait to see what Kendalyn learns when she goes back to Mrs. K's in August.

What We've Been Up To

Oh I've so been MIA lately...and I know many of you are wanting to see Miss K. Our days have been busy with work and being at the sitter's while our nights have been spent as a family. I'd much rather spend my evenings with my baby girl than cleaning the house or checking emails.

My Cowboy is on vacation this week and in 4 days I'll be home for the summer. I'm tickled pink to be consumed with my lil miss.

She is growing in so many ways. Here's a bit of what we've been doing.

Happy 9 weeks Kendalyn!!

Can you see that red hair coming out like her daddy??!!! Oh my!!

She has turned into a momma's girl in the evenings and especially on Saturdays. She spent a week with her sitter whom we LOVE and loves Miss K too. But I'm so glad she misses her mom. ; )

Our furry baby always loves to get our attention lately....wonder why??!!

Our water baby loves bathtime. She gets so excited when the water comes on.

Big Brother protecting his little sister, HA!!!

Happy 10 weeks!!!

Kendalyn loves being outside and in her stroller. She enjoys being on the go.

What a stinker!

I love throwing my hair in a ponytail with no make-up so I can enjoy my baby girl. Sorry : )

The boys

She's got him wrapped around her finger.

Love that smiling girl! She smiles so much now and is on the verge of laughing. There have been a few small laughs.

We enjoy the silly faces. She has found her tongue.

Love these little feet

At 6am getting ready to go to see Mrs. K (her sitter). She loves her high chair and is a happy girl.

T.R.O.U.B.L.E....nah!

I spend many evenings like this... Right by her side. She has been having her fussy hours between 4-6. Sometimes we lie her down to relax before bathtime.

What an angel.

It seems like it was yesterday that I was getting ready to go back to work and praying for the last week of work. And now it is here, HOORAY!!! I've been blessed with a great year and can't wait to spend my time with my baby girl.

I'll be posting her 2 month update/stats. She sees the dr. this week.

My 1st Mother's Day!

My 1st Mother's Day has been absolutely wonderful.

I got a mani/pedi on Friday. A road trip with my two favorite people in the world on Saturday.

Breakfast in bed with a number 1 candle, A Brighton Mom's charm bracelet, steak dinner, and a relaxing day with my two favorite people in the whole wide world on Sunday.

I have a wonderful mom who has taught me so many things so that I can be a wonderful mom.

All of these things have been great but the best gift for Mother's Day has been Kendalyn. I am so blessed to be her mom. Every day is Mother's Day for me.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Girl!

Our baby girl is a happy girl!!!

Daddy has been home a couple of days with Miss K and took some adorable shots of our happy girl.

She has changed so much since she was born.

She is smiling so much more and laughing. She is very alert and is enjoying life a bit more besides a life of feedings, diapers, and sleep.

We just can't get enough of her.

She just makes you smile...Our Happy Girl!!

Total Bliss

We are living in Miss Kendalyn's world and loving it. We've enjoyed our highest highs and lowest lows...Glorious Holidays and precious moments.
I enjoyed my last week of maternity leave before having to go back to work. It's only for 5 weeks and then I have 2 months with my baby. Our family is graciously helping take care of Miss K during this time.

Kendalyn is growing up and making our hearts so full of love.

Kendalyn is enjoying bathtime. It's no wonder when her name means Beautiful, Magical Water Baby. We will be looking into swimming lessons in the near future.

Our Princess Kendalyn received this bathtime towel from a lady at daddy's work. So cute.

Kendalyn enjoyed her First Easter. We went on Good Friday to take pictures with the Easter bunny (pic to come) She did a GREAT Job. Everyone in the line (yes, the total time in line and completed pictures was 1 1/2 hours) was amazed about how good she was doing. She was content and alert.

We went to my parent's on Easter Saturday. Kendalyn was enjoyed by everyone.

My parents bought a crib for her. It's wonderful to know that Kendalyn will have a comfy place to lay her head down when we visit. Daddy and grandpa spent the day putting it together for the precious baby girl.
Food and fellowship

Kendalyn tried out her new bed

Shelby has always been the baby of the family. She has passed on the golden shoes to Miss K.

Soon-to-be Aunt Katie enjoyed some Kendalyn time. It was so fun talking about wedding things with her. We can't wait for the big day next year.

Uncle Cole and Great Aunt Sharon enjoyed her too.

Although I've cried more than ever that I am leaving my baby for work I know that she is in good hands. It does take a Village to raise a child.

We have more Easter pictures to come and some highlights of a few firsts for Kendalyn. These moments are so precious...we are enjoying each one of them.
