Getting Back to Normal??!!

I am so glad this week is over. To begin, my boys have been gone all week. They went up to Crockett to take care of things before hunting season begins with Jacob. Can I just say everything that could happen, did happen on this trip. And that's all I am going to say about that....BOYS!!!

As for other happenings.....

Remington turned 7 months old on Thursday. Rem Triple H can now hop onto the back of the truck and onto the 4 wheeler all by himself. This has been something that Jason has wanted him to do for a long time.

Friday night I made peanut butter cookies for Jason. Yes, I know Mrs. Suzie Homemaker, that's me!!! Needless to say, he got to eat them Saturday morning around 2am. He was suppose to be home much earlier....BOYS!!!!
On Saturday, we enjoyed watching football to check up on the Aggies....who BTHO Utah State. WHOOP!!!!
Which leads to today, Sunday, we visited a church for a second time. This time we enjoyed meeting some friends there as well. We miss our church that we got married in. We just need to find one close to home which has not been an easy task. We had tire issues once we got there. The process of fixing the tire took hours and it still isn't fixed!!! UGH!!!! But like the pastor said today,
"You can't change the past or worry about the future.
If you worry, just think of how many precious moments you are missing on life."
I wondered why Jason kept hitting me in the leg, was he talking to me??!!!!! Nah, hehehehe.

Relaxing Weekend

My Cowboy and I had a very relaxing weekend. We (or I) got alot of things done around the house. I baked, from scratch, oatmeal raisin cookies, decorated the inside of the house for fall, cleaned the house, washed anything that laid still, prepared our fresh veggies to keep for the winter, and made yummy dinners and lunches.

Saturday was perfect for college football with all the rain; to bad the Ags didn't have a game. I was holding out for Wyoming though to BTHO t.u. but t.u BTHO Wyoming. Good game t.u. fans.

Cowboy and I remembered that this week we have been in our home for 1 year. It was also the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Ike. We closed on a Tuesday and Ike hit Saturday morning. I woke up on Saturday remembering that I called mom immediately to see if they were OK. Luckily, we still had the apartment to stay at because our house had no electricity for 7 days. We are so blessed to have this week and weekend be much smoother that it was 1 year ago.

We did have a loss on the Williamson farm this week. For about a month, we have been laughing at FogHorn and his attempt to cock-a-doodle doo, needless to say it was Miss Petti...or MR.

While we were gone last weekend we were told she/he was cock-a-doodle dooing all the time.!!!

Rest in peace....Miss (Mr) Petti.
We enjoyed watching you grow as our lil chick.
We will miss you.

Jacob came out on Saturday and brought the guns.

There's No Place Like Home

Jason and I spent the weekend in Crockett, Texas. His dad's side of the family has had this property for many years but it was my first trip there. We left right after school on Friday and got back home today around 5. Now I am rummaging through loads of laundry and getting life back in order. I took lots of pictures and will post those as soon as I find the bag with the camera in it.

Can I just say life for 4 days with no TV, radio, or internet has been interesting??!!!! With that being said, Thank God for Cole!!!! He was at the A&M game on Saturday so I was able to get up to the minute scores on the Aggies.

WHOOP!!!!!

New Mexico Lobos 6 - Texas A&M Aggies 41

While Jason and Jacob were building their deer stands for hunting season, I was also able to catch up on some reading. Some of the ladies at work are reading the book, The Shack. Sitting on the 4 wheeler in the peaceful woods and reading was very relaxing.

We had an adventurous weekend but I am so glad to be home.
