Museum fun!!!

Wow, we've had a lot of things happening around our house lately.  When I checked my blog and my last post was about a month ago I knew it was time for an update.  I can't believe how time flies when you are having fun!!!

Mother's Day weekend we took Kendalyn to the Children's Museum of Houston.  We all had a great time.

Bluebonnet Festival

What a great way to start the springtime then with a trip to Chappell Hill,Texas for the annual Bluebonnet Festival. Chappell Hill is just outside Brenham. We had a great time shopping, looking at animals, eating kettle corn popcorn and .....


Chasing butterflies with our butterfly catcher while wearing a crown of ribbon. But sometimes you have to stop and smell the bluebonnets.

It's Springtime in Texas and you know what that means......an abundance of wildflowers!! 

Our very first family pictures were in the Texas flower, the bluebonnets.  We love springtime around our house and were excited to share in this tradition with Kendalyn.

To begin springtime with Kendalyn's birthday is amazing!  Our sweet girl had her 2nd birthday on March 6, 2013!

Just as the flowers are blooming so is our Kendalyn.  But notice the wardrobe change?!!  Oh yes, there's a story to go with this  ; )))  cause believe me...there is!

Insert K's 2 year old updates of height, weight and head circumference.  I do know she is above 60% in most of it!!!

Daddy had this job at the doctor's office.  : )

 What's going on in Kendalyn's world!!!

-She loves to talk and express her opinion
She is very independent and strong-willed.

 -She says her abc's, knows her numbers 1-20 and if you help her in the 30's to 40's she can go on herself.  She loves talking about shapes and knows them all.  She knows her colors and even said apricot and fushia. 

 -She LOVES Sid the Science Kid, Elmo, Tinkerbelle and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She enjoys Doc McStuffin and Sofia the First too. 

But Momma knows the obsession for Sid the Science Kid could lead to a scholarship at Texas A&M in Engineering so we are all for it!!!!

 -She loves to sing and dance.  She can sing so many songs on her own and will dance to any kind of music around.

-She is our big helper around the house.  She loves doing laundry and feeding the animals.  She will pull out a baby wipe and start wiping things down.  It's great!  : )

 -And speaking of animals, she loves them.  She loves taking care of all of her animals.  She loves talking to them and making sure they have enough food and water.  She loves playing with them too.

-She is adventurous.  She will climb, jump, and swing on everything. 

 -She loves make-up, lotion, playing dress up and looking at herself in the mirror.  Looking pretty is her favorite thing to do.

 -She is daddy's girl and momma's girly girl.  She is perfect in every way.  We love Miss Kendalyn so very much.

We are and always have been very blessed to be given the opportunity from God to raise you into the smart, loving, and beautiful girl you are.  You bring us so much joy and we are very excited to see what your future holds.....slowly, you are growing up way to fast.

Her first braids

We went a couple of weeks ago to get our hair done and Kendalyn got her first braids. Thank you Aunt Lolo and Maw for your team work. Momma is trying to do it for school but I guess we need a team to wrangle her up, lol!!!

Easter 2013

We are truly blessed this Easter weekend and thankful we can celebrate what Jesus did for us.  

We kept the season of Easter with Jesus on our minds and in our hearts. 

We saw how Kendalyn enjoyed all the things we taught her about this special time of year.

Of course, we had goodies from the grandparents,

 

special gifts from mom and dad, and a super cool egg hunt from the Easter Bunny.

But we also enjoyed the Resurrection Egg Story and reading Bible stories together as a family.

He is not here;

he has risen,

just as he said.
