Go Bucs!

During our day trip to Brenham we also ventured to Blinn College, home of the Buccaneers.  It's also the junior college I attended before Texas A&M.



After HS, I attended Blinn on a music scholarship. 

 This was the dorm I stayed at....oh the memories.

 I was so excited to share this time in my life with Kendalyn and my Cowboy.  Especially when she was walking around saying, Go Bucs!  She was so excited to see the football field and was very upset when we couldn't get in.  I guess we will be making a trip there this fall!

A Day Trip!

Last week we took a day trip to Brenham...home of Blue Bell Ice Cream and Blinn College.  Both of which are important to our family.  

We started off with a scoop (or more) of delicious ice cream.

Then we ventured out to the country store and other fun sites.

Kendalyn was in heaven as she loves her ice cream!!

In the country store, she found ice cream flavored lipstick and was over the moon ecstatic.  Silly girl!!

Glimpse in the Garden

This spring and summer has been quite different then in years past.  However, one thing has stayed the same.... Gardening.

We have been hard at work.

And we are even getting ready to plant again. 

We love sharing this with Miss K.  She told me while coloring a picture of F is farmer!  K:  Like my dad!!!

Potty Party!!!!

It's Potty Training time!!!  We've been playing with the idea for awhile now and the time has come to get serious... Momma needs a raise!!!

So what better way to learn to potty like a big girl but to have a party!!!

Happy Father's Day

What a wonderful day we have been having.  Love spending time with the leader of our family who shows us how to be strong, independent ladies.  I am thankful for our protector and the one who loves us sassy girls ; )

We are also thankful for our dads and the great men they are!

Last Day of Preschool

Kendalyn had her last day of pre pre pre school last week.   She has had an absolute blast in her Ladybug class.  

Her accomplishments:  

-Can say and recognize the alphabet

-She knows most of the sounds the letters make : ))))

-Can count to 20 

-Knows her colors- 8 primary plus a few extra like gold, silver, fuchsia, apricot, maroon 

-Knows basic shapes plus diamond, octagon, pentagon 

Sings: Jesus Loves Me, Building Up the Kingdom, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, plus so much more

-Knows a few nursery rhymes

-Loves her books especially Every Cowgirl Needs Dancing Boots, Brown Bear,Brown Bear and her children's bible

We are very proud of our girl.  She amazes us everyday.  Next year Kendalyn will be at a new school where she will have specialty classes everyday like Spanish class, art, music, and yoga which is an addition to chapel and her normal class time.  We are excited about the unlimited possibilities and opportunities she is going to have.  We have to feed this little girl with knowledge : ))))

To The Zoo We Go!

Last weekend we headed to the Houston Zoo.  It has been some time since we have been there and we were amazed by all the changes.  We all had a blast!!  We enjoyed seeing the animals, the Lego Exhibit, the SplashPad, Children's Zoo and my fav the African Forest.  We are definitely thinking of going back soon to soak it all in.   Good Times!!
