Christmas 2012

Before the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve and 2013 is here I probably should post about our wonderful Christmas.  It was such an enjoyable time with family and making memories and traditions with our girl.  Kendalyn had a great time and seeing Christmas through her eyes is magical.

We first headed out to Maw and Papa's for Christmas Eve with the family.
We enjoyed time seeing Baby Brayden.

Kendalyn isn't quite sure of this baby thing...well, she loves the babies at her school that she gets to see but why is HER Maw holding the baby, LOL!!

Aunt Sharon, Shelby,and Brayden

GGMaw and Brayden...priceless

We loved seeing Grandma.  I think Kendalyn loves playing with her jewelry : )

Our mess with Grandma and My Cowboy

We enjoyed some food and fellowship and then it was present time....after a good nap.

Kendalyn was a pro at unwrapping gifts

K and I were excited about her American Girl doll

And of course no Christmas is complete without a Johnny Manziel jersey, Whoop!!!

See a pro at unwrapping her gifts with her cousins.

We left my parent's and headed home for our family Christmas.

Where Miss K got more American Girl fun!!

Dad showing Kendalyn how to feed her baby

Have you noticed a trend...we are all wearing Mickey and Minnie Mouse shirts.  : 0

 More AG stuff

And this box was full of Tinkerbell stuff.  Then it was time for bed and for Santa's arrival.  : )

Kendalyn woke up early and was content on playing with her American girl things.  She didn't even notice the fun in the living room.

But then she did especially seeing this.......

Her fav, Cookie Monster in her new truck.

She had fun checking out all the stuff inside.

Then after Christmas breakfast, Pawpaw came by with more goodies.

More toys and new cowgirl gear

Can we say spoiled girl here??!!!

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone.  Wow, but most importantly 2012 has come and gone.  It's hard to believe and our girl is growing so fast.  2013 can only get better with her in our lives.

Mom and Dad's Night Out

It only happens once a year...we got TWO nights out on the town in ONE weekend!!!

After K's Christmas program my parents took K with them for the weekend.  We are so thankful for them.

We went to a friend's Christmas party.

Funny story:  Daivd has known My Cowboy for years.  At the party, he asked how long I'd been around.....um, 9 years.  We were so happy we realized we are old friends now too, lol!!!

It was fun to have a night with my Cowboy.

Then the following night we had my Cowboy's company party.  Another night to get dressed up, whoa!

I think we clean up well.
But we sure did miss our girl, used all the time we could spare to "talk with Santa" and rushed to get her the next day.  What a fun time!

1st Christmas Program

Kendalyn's school had a Christmas program a few weeks ago.  It was the cutest program ever!!

Have I mentioned that Miss K is a scheduled little girl...well, here's a gentle reminder.  : )  As we were getting ready for the program she was throwing a fit and upon getting to school she was throwing an even bigger fit.

Cue Papa and Maw coming and it was a bit better, but.....

Put this girl on stage and she SHINES!!!!!

Mom bragging moment:  Y'all she is not even 2 and she knew all the words to the songs and hand movements.

They had her class sitting on the steps but not our girl she wanted to stand and she did the program just like the bigger kids

Of course, the teachers wanted her to sit

But not her she refused

and had a blast performing

and celebrating.  Now the teachers all said that at chapel she has quite the moves and participates but we never knew just how much personality she has

We need to build a stage pronto!!!

and when you get bored....make your own show

Leave the stage cause you are done

And still be proud of what you did!

We are so proud of our girl.  She is sparks excitement to all that she meets.
Here she is with her teacher.  She loves her and I think the feeling is mutual.

Christmas Tree Shopping

It has always been our family tradition that on the day after Thanksgiving we go out and buy our Christmas tree.  We set out early to shop for our tree and found another wonderful tree to enjoy this year.

 Ready, set

go!
Daddy's buddy looking for the tree.

We actually picked out one I loved.

Kendalyn loved seeing all the trees.

She has enjoyed having the tree in our house.  We've had a few discussions about touching the tree but overall she has been good to the tree, lol.
I love this tradition we have and can't wait to continue it.

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family at my aunt's house.  We enjoyed yummy food and family time.

Me and my girl.  We somehow didn't get a picture with daddy but he was there : )

Our girl made herself comfortable at Aunt Lolo's house especially in the rocking chair.

She loved being outside.

Smelling flowers with Papa

 Playing with Cousin Avery

 Singing with Maw

And putting her toes in the coi pond with Lolo
What a fun time!

Disney on Ice

When daddy goes hunting the girls go to Disney on Ice!!!

I took the plunge to go by myself with Kendalyn and a friend and her daughter to Reliant Stadium in Houston  for the show.  It was tons of fun but challenging with two almost two year olds.  Hence, the few pictures or blurry ones.

Kendalyn enjoyed the show, loved her first snowcone, is now obsessed with ice, and had a blast with Dyllan.

Halloween 2012

On Halloween night we took to the streets for some Trick or Treating fun!  Well, just to the houses down our street.  Our neighbors were very sweet to our little cat.

Kendalyn did well saying Trick or Treat.

Pretty Girl!

Our biggest challenge was her understanding Trick or Treating.  When I say we have wonderful neighbors we really do and they all love Kendalyn.  However, Kendalyn didn't understand why she couldn't go into their homes like she always does.  Cue tears!
But she did get her wish and she got a cupcake and juice from one of our neighbors and went into their house to enjoy it.  She loves to visit her neighbors.
