We Are Still Here!!

We ARE Still Here!!.....I feel like I have many blog posts that say that.  It's just something about that little girl that I just want to spend every waking moment trapped in her world.  Which does sometimes lead to not getting housework done or any blog posts written.

I saw this sign at a store in Crockett and I think I might have to go back and get it. 

I love it!!! 

Kendalyn's 18 month old (almost 19 month old) stats will be posted soon.  We are so behind  ; )  However, I do know that our fall is jam packed with "stuff" that we are doing and I can't wait to post about!

It's that time.....

where I become a single mom and dad puts food in the freezer.  Yep, it's time to get ready for hunting season!!!

Labor Day weekend we drove out to Crockett to get My Cowboy's deer stand and feeder up and running.

He had a big helper this year  : )

She was absolutely adorable when we went out into the woods.  While putting her finger over her mouth, Kendalyn would say very softly Shhhhhh and deer.  So cute.

We can't wait for the day that she can go hunting with us.  : )

Purple Princess Painting Party

Friday night we went to Isabelle's Purple Princess Painting Party.  Now say that 3 times fast, HA!!  We had a great time celebrating this doll's 4th birthday.  The girls painted, played, enjoyed a pinata, and ate...but the best part was the Barbie jeep.

 Oh yes, my girl rounded up her buddy and the two went for a ride and had an awesome time.

 Halle and Kendalyn are in the same class at school.  So they enjoyed some fun time together.

Here's the birthday girl.  Don't you love that hair?!  Her brother told her that her cake smelled and when she went down to smell her cake, he pushed her face in.  Don't you love those brothers  : )

Kendalyn goes to school!

Last Monday Kendalyn started pre-pre-pre-school.  We love her school!!

Day 1 was tough on everyone.   But we thank God that she didn't cry the entire day!  Each day since has been much better.  Daddy and I both called multiple times throughout the day to check on our girl  (they already know our voices ; )  She has chapel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the director said that Kendalyn just lights up with the music and dancing.  She even clapped along with the big girls as they did a cheer that they learned at VBS.

We are on day 7 of school and she is a pro.  We do have a few morning tears when daddy drops her off but she is having a great time learning, playing, and meeting new friends.  She has grown so much both academically and socially.  This Friday is Meet the Teacher Night for the fall semester.  We are so excited.

But a big Oops when the director said she fell asleep at the lunch table the following day.  We started our nightly routine the next night.

We are so proud of our little girl.  Her future is a bright one!!

Celebration Time!!-400th post and 17 month birthday

Who would have thought we would have been writing posts for this long??!!!

Thank you to everyone who reads our lil blog.  I have meet some really awesome people through out the years and some that I talk to on a regular basis.

-You weigh 23 lbs.
Height is 33 1/2 inches
Head is 18 1/2 inches.  (which is odd because at her prior appt. to this one her head was 19 inches....go figure)

-You wear size 12 month and 18 month clothes.  You are getting so slender that sometimes the 18 month clothes just fall right off.
-Size 5 shoe.
-Size 5 diaper

-Words you know......oh goodness, I should say words you don't know yet because you say so much and repeat everything.
Here's a start.....mama, daddy, Uff Uff (Remington), chick chick (chickens), Maw (is my mom's new name), Papa, Bubba (for my brother Cole), baby, book, clock (followed by it goes tick tock tick tock), truck, cat (followed by it says meow), duck (followed by quack quack),   clicks her tongue for a horse (Thanks Daddy), ball, bye bye, balloon, moon, star, bee, egg, night night, water, milk, grapes, apple, nana (banana), Elmo, Abba (Abby Cadabby), Mmm Mmm (Minnie and Mickey), Daisy, Pluto, Tookie (Cookie Monster), Ernie (guess Bert doesn't exist in her world: ), light, cheese, bath, trash, bubbles, deer  You get this idea, she talks alot!!  : )

-She will make phrases.  Here are a few of her latest.
Thank you Momma. I want water.
Where did daddy go?
I see the moon.
-Can identify and say the words of her body parts...nose, eyes, hair, ears, earrings, toes, feet, hands, fingers, head, belly button

-She says and signs: more, milk, eat and all done

-Love to read and to be read to

-Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but her latest is Elmo.  She loves him.

-She will sing and sing and sing.  She will sing with music making her own tune or will sing songs she knows.
She knows the hand motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider and Row Row Row Your Boat

-She loves to clean and help with laundry.  I see that to be very beneficial in the future*

-She loves figuring things out like the iPhone or computer and the smallest parts of her toys.

-She is very loving and is a woman who knows what she wants.  There is never a dull moment with you.  We laugh and say we are the Three Musketeers because you have fit in so perfectly and adjust so well to things. 

-She has gone a couple of times to her new school to ease the transition and she has come home knowing so many new things.  We are so excited for big girl school.

Kendalyn loves being around her Maw and Papa.  She always asks where they are and looks at their pictures.  If we go somewhere, she asks where they are.

Please say lots of prayers for us.  Kendalyn starts her big girl school on Monday.  Pray for no tears and happy smiles...for mommy too  : )
Daddy will be taking her so we are hoping it will work out better.  Fingers crossed.

A milkshake kind of day!

Last weekend we headed to Crockett to get a few things before deer season.  We stopped in town at The Moosehead Cafe.  We enjoyed a yummy lunch, strolled through town and went back to the cafe for an ice cream treat.  Well...... 

 Kendalyn took a taste and would not let go!!!  I mean this girl had a death grip on some Blue Bell!!!

So, I added a straw and we enjoyed the milkshake together.
