Splash, Splash, Splash

On Sunday we rode out to the subdivision park. The three of us (me, my Cowboy, and Remi) hop onto the 4-wheeler and crusie to the park. They have a huge pond that Remington is very fond of. When Jason turns on the wheeler Remington starts barking because he knows where he is going. We can't wait for the day when Remington "loads up" on his own for a drive.

Our baby : )

He looks so majestic and is ready to jump in.

Action shot!!!

P.S. Remington has a new chicken sister, "Pepper". She joined our farm on Friday. Pictures to come.

Even I would have never imagined that I would pursue my dream of receiving a Master's Degree. As I opened my SamMail today I was surprised to find.......

at 10:00 a.m.
It was just 2 years ago that we sat at Cole's graduation from SHSU.
I could have NEVER done it without the love and support of my Cowboy!!!! When times got tough he ALWAYS told me I could do it. And his famous words when I hand him the bill, "We'll do what we have to do". Man, how did I get so lucky!

I never thought that upon holding the commencement program with Cole's name inside that I would soon find mine.

I am happy to share the orange and blue pride with my lil' bro.

Aggie Gals Plus 1 and 2 On the Way!!!

On Monday I made the trip to wonderful College Station to see my friends, Melissa and Shayanne. We always try to play a little catch up between our busy lives.

We first met at Melissa's house to see the twin's room. Melissa and Matt are awaiting the arrival of Natalie and Meagan in July/August. We are thankful for their surrogate Lisa who is blessing these two wonderful people with TWINS!!!!

We went for lunch and checked out a few local shops around B/CS.

This is what Shaylee felt about everything. Too cute!!
Shaylee and I. I think I have seen this face given to me by her daddy, hehehe.

Melissa and Shaylee

Check out Miss Busybody. She just had her 1 year birthday. Just by Shayanne's body language I think she knows she is going to have many more fun filled years with her.

Momma says, "It's time to go"!!!!

We loved seeing Shayanne and Shaylee but it was time for a nap. Melissa and I decided to continue our venture so we went to the mall for some shopping.
The next time I see the girls I will also be meeting M&N. I am so excited.
I am so blessed to have great college friends. We have been through so much together; it only continues to get better.

Sweet Summertime!!

Wow! What a week. This past week was the last week of school. Yes, we are out before many other schools but man, we have never gotten a break. I was done with school "things" at 10am on Friday so that I could go to the doctor. Thank God everything turned out OK. We are ready for baby making; but it must wait until after my graduation with my Masters in August.

Once I got home from the doctor and H-town traffic, I decided to mow the grass in the yard. As it turned out all of the neighbors did too and we spent the evening relaxing with cocktails with all the neighbors after yardwork, hehehehehe.

Saturday was Remington's booster shot appointment. Jason took him for the appointment and I stayed home. I was so alone without my boys : ( I got all dolled up and Jason came home and said "Road Trip". We went to Brenham and Chappell Hill. Though they are not extravagant trips if you know me and these two places, I was in paradise. We had Blue Bell ice cream at the creamery, dinner on the sqaure, and shopping. In that order!!! We went to the Original Chappell Hill sausage meat market to get some sausage and meat. I can still remember the smell of the market and getting bags full of sausage with my grandpa around Christmas time.

On Sunday we enjoyed playing in the backyard and grilling some meat and fresh vegetables on the pit. I think Jason is set on Chappell Hill meat, yum yum.

If this weekend is any indication of this summer, Welcome Summertime!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I am headed to College Station for a lunchdate with my great Aggie friends, Shayanne and Melissa. We are waiting the arrival of Melissa's twin girls, Meagan and Natalie and a 1st birthday celebration for Shayanne's baby girl, Shaylee.

I will share pictures tomorrow of the fun time.

Memorial Day Weekend

Our weekend was wonderful. We enjoyed the long weekend and lived it to the fullest. This is my last week of school so the long weekend made it even better.

On Saturday, we went to my school to unload "the boat". Yes, I had a boat in my classroom where the kiddos enjoyed reading time. Jason also helped with taking down the high things on the wall. SO if you don't know being a teacher allows you to learn how to take down things and put things up...educational things. Jason and other husbands help the wives hang things on the walls in the classrooms and then of course must take things down. Did I say.....

My Cowboy is the best!!!!!
And not all hubbies do it so I am very blessed!!!

On Sunday, we enjoyed visiting with my mom's family at the Stoneham Catholic Church Bazaar. We enjoyed BBQ, music, and games. Mom, dad, and Jason wanted to win so bad at the games, I don't know who was more competitive. We loved seeing our extended family. Uncle Harold played the fiddle with his band and we also saw numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. I guess when there is 14 children, the extended family is nothing???!!!!! This was the 100th anniversary of the church where my great-great grandfather Andrew helped found it.

We also had a crawfish boil at the neighbors that afternoon.

This is part of the group.....(I have to find the right way to size down the pics)Travis, Jay, me, Courtney and Barry.
I have never had another friend named Courtney. She is studying to be a teacher!!!!!!

Eatin' mudbugs!!!!.. YUM!!!!!!

Our great friends, Billy and Lauren. Many people have told us that they are the "mini" of us. We like to call them a brother and sister from another mother. Jason and Billy are ssssooooooo alike and so are Lauren and I. CRazY!!!!!

OK some people call this a slip n' slide. I call it true REDNECK!!!!! So fun but would have been better with less "kegs" and more "6 packs". I never laughed so hard.

Just us.

Remington-3 months

Last Friday we added a new addition to the farm. We had concrete poured in Remington's kennel. Thank God for concrete men and for our neighbors who built a patio. We were able to get a few yards for Rem.

May 17th was Remington's 3 month birthday!!!! He is getting so big!! I want him to stay small and Jason wants him to get big for bird season.
Checking out the water hose.

And the blueberry plants.

He is such a good boy and listens so well. We can already tell his different moods. During the day we let the chickens, Elli and the 2 stooges run wild. When we get home everyone is out of their pens, Remi loves chasing them. I wonder if I can get a pic of that.??!!!
